Deputy Manager – Learning Disabilities Social Care

About the role
We are seeking a passionate, organised and resilient Deputy Manager to support our Learning Disabilities Social Care Service in Hertfordshire. You will work closely with the Area Service Manager to drive service performance and ensure high‑quality care for service users.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Area Service Manager with business planning, objective setting and performance tracking.
- Manage contract budgets using sound financial and accounting principles to meet financial targets.
- Lead and motivate the team, fostering a positive local culture.
- Continuously improve staff competence and resolve conflicts swiftly.
- Report all staff changes to HR and Payroll (starters, leavers, additional hours, etc.).
- Support the development and maintenance of quarterly staff succession plans.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Highly organised and able to handle multiple priorities.
- Resilient and capable of working under pressure.
- Strong leadership and team‑motivation skills.
- Good understanding of financial management and budgeting.
