Deputy Manager (Non‑clinical) – Care Home

About the role

The Deputy Manager (Non‑clinical) will work closely with the Home Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations of a 32‑resident care home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee care delivery, staff performance and daily operations on the floor.
• Support audits, monitor quality, and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide visible leadership, mentor and develop the care team.
• Step into full operational responsibility when required, ensuring continuity.
• Manage priorities, schedules and resource allocation to meet regulatory standards.

Required profile

• SVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
• Proven experience in a senior care or leadership role.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Experience supporting audits, compliance and service standards.
• Medication administration and auditing experience.
• Professional, organised and resident‑focused approach.

• £18.72 per hour
• £1,000 welcome bonus
• 40‑hour week (2 × 12‑hour floor shifts, 2 × 8‑hour office days)
