Deputy Manager – Non‑Clinical Care Home

About the role

The Deputy Manager (Non‑clinical) will support the Home Manager in leading a 68‑bed care facility, ensuring high standards of nursing, residential, dementia and respite care. This onsite role combines operational oversight with staff development in a luxury setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily care delivery, staff performance and operational efficiency.
• Support audits, monitor quality, and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide visible leadership, mentoring and coaching to the care team.
• Step into full operational responsibility when required, ensuring continuity.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.

Required profile

• SVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
• Proven experience in a senior care or leadership role.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Experience supporting audits, compliance and service standards.
• Medication administration and auditing experience.
• Ability to manage operations, priorities and team performance.
• Professional, organised and resident‑focused approach.
