Deputy Manager – Registered General Nurse (RGN)

About the role
The Deputy Manager (RGN) will work closely with the General Manager to ensure a safe, caring and person‑centred environment for residents at Moorlands Lodge Care Home. This full‑time position combines leadership, clinical oversight and operational management to meet high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide inspirational leadership and day‑to‑day management for the care team.
- Ensure medication policies are followed and support medication reviews and administration.
- Monitor resident wellbeing, identify changes, and update care plans accordingly.
- Complete monthly audits, quality indicator reports and other required documentation.
- Attend weekly clinical meetings and track clinical risk areas.
Required profile
- Current NMC PIN and qualified nurse.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar care setting, preferably in a management role.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proficient use of IT systems.
- Flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

- Clinical governance and medication management.
- Audit and quality reporting.
- Team leadership and staff development.
