About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Deputy Manager (Registered General Nurse) to join our award‑winning team at Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Hindhead. In this full‑time position you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure a safe, person‑centred environment for residents while meeting professional, statutory and commercial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in operating a compliant, high‑quality care home.
• Provide inspirational leadership and day‑to‑day management to the care team.
• Oversee medication policies, review medication administration and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Monitor resident wellbeing, identify changes, and update care plans accordingly.
• Complete monthly audits, quality indicator reports and other required documentation.
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and track clinical risk areas.

Required profile

• Current NMC PIN and qualified as a Registered General Nurse.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar care setting, including a management role.
• Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with IT systems for documentation and reporting.
