Deputy Manager – RGN

About the role

We are seeking a Deputy Manager – RGN to join our award‑winning team at Birchmere House Care Home in Solihull. In this role you will work closely with the General Manager to deliver person‑centred, safe and stimulating care for our residents while supporting a dedicated nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and day‑to‑day operational support to the General Manager.
• Ensure compliance with medication procedures and safe administration.
• Monitor resident wellbeing and respond promptly to any concerns.
• Conduct regular audits and quality checks across the home.
• Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to care planning.
• Uphold the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC PIN.
• Minimum two years of relevant management experience in a care home or similar setting.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of residents and staff.

Required skills

• Medication administration procedures.
• Audit management and reporting.
• Participation in clinical meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration.
