Deputy Manager (RGN Qualified) – Care Home

About the role

The Deputy Manager will support the General Manager in delivering a compliant, person‑centred care home that provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for residents and visitors. You will help ensure high standards of care while meeting professional, statutory and commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and day‑to‑day management to the care team.
• Ensure medication policies and procedures are followed and assist with medication reviews.
• Monitor resident wellbeing, identify changes, and update care plans accordingly.
• Complete monthly audits, quality indicator reports and any additional required reporting.
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas within the home.

Required profile

• Qualified nurse with an active NMC PIN.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar care environment, preferably in a management role.
• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent use of IT systems and adaptable to short‑notice responsibilities.
