Deputy Site Manager – Retail

About the role

As a Deputy Site Manager at Asda Express you will work closely with the Store Manager to create a welcoming, efficient environment for both colleagues and customers. You will be a visible, hands‑on leader who helps drive sales, maintains high standards and ensures safety across the store and forecourt.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading, motivating and developing the team.
• Drive sales performance, uphold store standards and deliver excellent customer service.
• Take full responsibility for the store’s operations when the Store Manager is absent.
• Maintain health, safety and compliance, including PFS and forecourt procedures.
• Coach and train colleagues on the shop floor, providing on‑the‑job development.
• Manage people processes fairly and professionally.

Required profile

• Previous retail experience with a strong commercial understanding.
• Positive, supportive leadership style that sets the tone on the shop floor.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
