Deputy Store Manager (Retail)

About the role

Aldi is looking for a Deputy Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering excellent customer service, driving sales and maintaining operational efficiency. This position offers a clear path for ambitious team leaders who want to progress to full store management.

Key responsibilities

• Run the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager
• Deliver customer service that exceeds expectations
• Support employee engagement and help meet store KPIs
• Monitor product quality and ensure consistent stock rotation
• Oversee till cash‑up procedures and safe deposits
• Maintain health & safety and compliance standards

Required profile

• Experience managing teams in fast‑paced, customer‑focused environments
• Strong time‑management and cost‑control abilities
• Motivation to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Excellent customer service and compliance awareness
• Previous store management experience is a plus, but not essential
