Deputy Theatre Manager

About the role

Ramsay Health Care is seeking a Deputy Theatre Manager to support the dedicated theatre team at Woodthorpe Hospital. The role involves assisting the Theatre Manager in delivering high‑quality surgical and endoscopy services while ensuring excellent patient and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily theatre operations and staff scheduling.
• Lead and support the theatre or endoscopy team to meet clinical standards.
• Maintain compliance with NMC/HCPC regulations and hospital policies.
• Provide surgical first‑assist support when required.
• Manage fast‑paced, high‑pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Current NMC or HCPC registration.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Warm, considerate and empathetic character.
• Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) – desirable but not essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Highly motivated and adaptable to rapidly changing environments.
• Experience leading a theatre team or department.
