Deputy Training Support Manager – RAF Air Cadets

About the role
The Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC) is seeking a Deputy Training Support Manager to join the Wales and West Region team. This senior administrative role will support volunteers and staff in delivering high‑quality training, activities and experiences for cadets across Wales, Staffordshire, West Mercia, Warwickshire and Birmingham.
Key responsibilities
- Provide oversight of regional training support matters, ensuring delivery aligns with RAFAC standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, permanent staff and regional command.
- Act as the primary point of contact for queries on training delivery, assurance and compliance.
- Verify that all volunteer personnel meet mandated training requirements and coordinate sanctions when necessary.
- Supervise and develop administrators within the Training Support Pillar, ensuring they receive appropriate training and professional supervision.
- Facilitate group learning opportunities and continuous professional development for the team.
Required profile
- Dynamic, adaptable and proactive with strong organisational skills.
- Experience working with volunteer‑driven, military‑oriented youth organisations is desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
- Ability to manage compliance, training assurance and administrative processes.
