Dermatology Pathway Support

About the role

The Dermatology Pathway Support role assists the dermatology service in developing medical photography and cancer pathways. You will work flexibly alongside medical secretarial staff, consultants and their teams, ensuring smooth administrative processes for NHS patients.

Key responsibilities

• Type and dispatch clinical correspondence within defined quality standards and time limits.
• Liaise effectively with wards, departments, patients and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain departmental clinical admin information, filing, and case note records.
• Book and arrange meetings, answer telephone calls, and handle queries promptly.
• Request investigation and test results, flag missing items, and support other business units as needed.

• Willingness to learn the 18‑week RTT process and Trust Patient Access Policy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams and adhere to national guidelines.
