About the role
We are seeking an innovative Design and Technology Teacher to join a high‑attaining secondary school in Haringey, North London. The successful candidate will inspire enthusiastic students across a range of DT specialisms and contribute to the school’s outstanding reputation.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in resistant materials, product design, graphics, engineering, food technology and textiles.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support achievement targets.
- Collaborate with the DT department and senior leadership to develop curriculum and extracurricular projects.
- Maintain a safe, well‑equipped workshop environment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level, or a strong commitment as an early‑career teacher.
- Passion for practical, problem‑solving learning and ability to motivate high‑achieving students.
