Design Assistant – Fashion Design Support

About the role

The Design Assistant will provide essential creative and administrative support to the in‑house design team at Love & Roses, a bold fashion brand within NEXT Wholly Owned Brands. Working across all product categories, you will help translate research and trend insights into concrete design concepts and assist throughout the product development cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide design and creative support across product categories, creating and amending CADs using Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Research trends in shape, print and colour, produce competitor reports and trend flashes.
• Prepare materials for sign‑off meetings, organise samples and update CAD sheets.
• Maintain department documentation, manage daily tasks to meet development timelines, and liaise with Buying, Garment Tech and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Fashion design degree or equivalent industry experience in fashion retail.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
