Design Coordinator

About the role

The Design Coordinator will support a high‑value, multi‑storey data centre project in London, working closely with a Senior Design Manager and the wider project team. You will be responsible for ensuring that steelwork and façade design packages are delivered on schedule, meet technical standards, and are fully integrated with other disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate steelwork and façade design submissions, drawings and technical documentation.
• Manage design deliverables against programme milestones.
• Liaise between specialist subcontractors, consultants and internal teams.
• Handle RFIs, technical queries, design comments and action trackers.
• Support BIM coordination and resolve interface clashes.
• Oversee façade approvals, mock‑ups and material submissions.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, fire strategy and planning requirements.
• Manage interfaces between structural, architectural and MEP packages.
• Facilitate design workshops, technical reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Assist the Senior Design Manager with reporting, programme management and design governance.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating design packages on large‑scale construction projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors, consultants and internal teams.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
