About the role
Robert Bird Group is seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join its Construction Engineering team in London. The role focuses on tackling complex technical challenges at the intersection of structural engineering, construction methodology, temporary works and digital design.
Key responsibilities
- Support the full construction lifecycle, from early‑stage methodology development to detailed design of temporary and permanent works.
- Conduct buildability assessments and contribute to efficient, safe, and constructible solutions.
- Collaborate closely with contractors, developers and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Apply construction engineering expertise to anticipate challenges and improve project efficiency.
Required profile
- Motivated Design Engineer with interest in complex technical problems.
- Experience or strong interest in structural engineering, construction methodology, temporary works and digital design.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project stakeholders.
