Design Engineer

About the role

We are supporting a fast‑growing technical engineering company in need of a skilled Design Engineer. You will create 3D models, perform calculations, and help produce technical documentation for subcontractors and purchased parts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and detailed drawings using Inventor for mechanical, structural, electrical, and piping components.
• Liaise with subcontractors to produce welding and piping drawings and ensure accurate fabrication.
• Generate manufacturing and customer drawings for gas‑turbine auxiliary systems.
• Prepare complete bills of materials aligned with design drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations to support product design.
• Collaborate with suppliers, monitor project progress, and report bottlenecks.
• Visit customer sites and fabrication suppliers as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of fabrication and piping processes.
• Willingness to undertake additional training and broaden technical knowledge.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor (or similar 3D design software).
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and documentation.
