Design Engineer – Lighting

About the role
This is an office‑based Design Engineer position focused on lighting products. You will be involved from concept through to completion, working closely with the Technical Manager and the engineering team.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop new and existing lighting products.
- Take projects from concept stage to final delivery.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve process issues and identify improvements.
- Support development testing of the company’s creations.
Required profile
- Background as a Design Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, Draughtsperson, CAD Technician or Lighting Design Engineer.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably lighting or electrical.
- Knowledge of lighting or building regulations.
Required skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Experience using Relux.
- Experience using Dialux.
What we offer
- Salary £35,000‑£40,000 per year.
- Office‑based Monday‑to‑Friday with flexible start & finish times.
