Design Lead (Architectural Metalwork)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Design Lead to join a fast‑growing architectural metalwork company. You will be responsible for delivering detailed designs and drawings for high‑profile commercial, residential and industrial steelwork projects while supporting the team’s technical development.
Key responsibilities
- Produce complete technical designs for steelwork projects across commercial, residential and industrial sectors.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, production and project teams.
- Supervise and mentor a team of three designers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Required profile
- Proven experience in steelwork design and architectural metalwork.
- Strong background using SolidWorks and 2D CAD tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop junior designers.
