Design Manager

About the role

The Design Manager will lead the design process for data centre projects from pre‑construction through to delivery. Working from the head office with occasional site visits, the role blends strategic design oversight with hands‑on coordination across multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full design lifecycle for data centre builds, from concept to handover.
• Collaborate closely with clients, internal design teams, and external consultants to ensure design intent is maintained on site.
• Provide design input for tender and bid activities, supporting the growing project pipeline.
• Coordinate site visits and ensure design deliverables align with construction schedules.
• Maintain design documentation and quality standards throughout the project.

Required profile

• Mid‑senior level professional with proven design management experience.
• Previous experience on data centre projects is essential.
• Background working for a Tier 1 construction main contractor.
• Ability to manage design across bid, pre‑construction, and live delivery stages.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
