Design Manager – Structural Steel

About the role

We are seeking a senior Design Manager with a structural steel background to lead a small team and ensure timely delivery of designs across residential, logistics and commercial projects. Reporting to the Directors, you will work closely with in‑house project managers and major contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of three Design Engineers and 3D CAD Designers.
• Ensure project deadlines are met and designs are completed on time.
• Review design work, provide training and guidance to the team.
• Liaise with internal Project Managers and client end‑users.
• Office‑based role, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑5 pm (4 pm finish on Fridays).

Required profile

• Design Manager or similar with a structural steel background.
• Proven experience leading a small engineering team.
• Knowledge of Advanced Steel or Tekla.
• Experience on residential, logistics or commercial steel projects.
