Design & Technology and Art Technician – Full‑Time (London)

About the role

The school is seeking a proactive Design & Technology and Art Technician to join its busy secondary campus in Kensington & Chelsea. Working from September 2026 to July 2027, you will support practical learning across both DT and Art departments, ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise materials, tools, and equipment for DT and Art lessons.
• Assist students during practical sessions, providing guidance and safety oversight.
• Maintain workshop and studio equipment, performing routine checks and repairs.
• Support teaching staff with lesson set‑up, demonstrations, and resource management.
• Manage stock levels of consumables and ensure health‑and‑safety procedures are followed.

Required profile

• Experience in a workshop, studio, school, or other practical environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of health and safety in practical settings.
• Full‑time availability for the contract period.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
