Design Technology Teacher – Croydon School

About the role

We are seeking a confident Design Technology Teacher to join a forward‑thinking, inclusive school in the London borough of Croydon. The successful candidate will deliver the Design Technology curriculum across all year groups, fostering creativity and technical skill in students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school schemes of work.
• Assess, record and report student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
• Set, mark and provide feedback on examinations and other assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver cross‑curricular projects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of student attainment and manage departmental resources.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed in the workshop and classroom.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching Design Technology.
• Strong knowledge of the Design Technology syllabus and National Curriculum.
• Ability to use ICT tools to enhance learning.
• Commitment to high standards of preparation, teaching and discipline.
