About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join a high‑achieving secondary school in Preston from September 2026. The role starts on a full‑time temporary basis with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach Key Stage 5.
- Inspire students to develop creativity, problem‑solving and technical skills.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the DT department to develop a broad, innovative curriculum.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Design & Technology in a UK secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge across one or more DT specialisms.
- Excellent classroom management and the ability to motivate learners of all abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
