Design & Technology Teacher

About the role

Teaching Personnel is partnering with a highly regarded all‑through school in Southampton to hire a passionate Design & Technology Teacher. The school serves pupils aged 4–16, has recently opened purpose‑built facilities, and holds a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire creativity, problem‑solving and technical expertise in students.
• Contribute to the planning and development of an ambitious curriculum.
• Support learners of all abilities, including those with additional needs.
• Participate actively in the wider life of the school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design Technology (newly qualified teachers are welcome).
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for DT.
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
• Collaborative team‑working attitude.
