Design & Technology Technician – South London (Temp/Full‑Time)

About the role
We are seeking an organised and practical Design & Technology Technician to support secondary schools across South London. You will prepare materials, equipment and resources for a wide range of practical subjects, ensuring smooth lesson delivery for Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and set up materials, ingredients, tools and equipment for Food Technology, Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering, Graphics, Textiles and CAD/CAM lessons.
- Maintain specialist classrooms, workshops and kitchen areas, ensuring they meet health and safety standards.
- Manage stock levels of consumables and technical supplies.
- Support teachers and students during practical sessions, troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Carry out routine health‑and‑safety checks, including food hygiene compliance.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Design & Technology Technician or in a comparable technical role.
- Ability to work across the full Design & Technology curriculum.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proactive, flexible and able to support staff and pupils effectively.
Required skills
- CAD/CAM proficiency.
