Designer – Ladies Soft Wovens

About the role

The client is seeking a mid‑level designer specialised in ladies soft woven collections to support several large accounts, including supermarkets and high‑volume retailers. The role combines commercial fashion development with hands‑on supplier liaison and buyer meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Create seasonal mood and trend boards together with the design team.
• Develop capsule collections, defining key shapes, colour palettes and fabric direction.
• Research and source new fabrics, trims and design ideas on a daily basis.
• Design and develop commercial, fashion‑forward products for the client’s range.
• Attend fabric fairs, inspirational shopping trips and regular design meetings with sales and buying teams.

Required profile

• Strong background working with suppliers or retailers, preferably in woven/soft separates.
• Experience with woven bottoms is highly desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
• Commercially savvy with up‑to‑date trend knowledge.
• Confident when presenting to customers and buyers.

Required skills

• Proficient CAD skills for garment development.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Ability to produce detailed tech packs.
