Deskside Support Engineer – Holiday Cover (5 days onsite)

About the role

We are seeking a Deskside Support Engineer to provide holiday cover for a key IT team member at a pharmaceutical organisation in Romford. This short‑term, on‑site role involves hands‑on support across office, production, lab and warehouse environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st and 2nd line deskside support for Windows‑based laptops, desktops, monitors and docking stations.
• Troubleshoot printers, peripherals and other hardware issues.
• Perform basic Active Directory tasks such as user provisioning, de‑provisioning and access changes.
• Liaise with central IT teams overseas for escalations.
• Maintain a high level of customer service for end‑users across multiple sites.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a deskside or IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop environments (Windows 10/11).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
