Desktop Support Engineer – IT Support

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a fast‑growing FTSE‑listed professional services organisation. Based at the London headquarters, you will deliver first‑class IT support to colleagues across global locations and help maintain a reliable, secure desktop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑user support for laptops, phones and meeting‑room technology.
• Configure, deploy and maintain desktop devices and ensure asset readiness.
• Assist with network connectivity testing and troubleshooting.
• Support webinars, meetings and on‑site drop‑in days.
• Induct and train new joiners and develop user‑training initiatives.
• Document procedures, drive support standards and contribute to the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota (one week in four).

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in an in‑house professional services environment (e.g., finance, legal, consultancy).
• Experience working in a 300‑500 employee organisation.
• Degree‑level education or equivalent IT qualifications such as ITIL.
• Willingness to participate in a weekday on‑call rota.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, ambitious attitude.
