Desktop Support Technician

About the role

Bright Purple is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join a busy IT team in central London. You will provide hands‑on support to end‑users across a corporate office, installing, configuring and maintaining desktop hardware and software while delivering a high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and support Windows desktop and laptop devices.
• Build, deploy and image new PCs and manage hardware lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and peripheral issues, including printers, email and networking.
• Provide remote access support and resolve incidents through the ticketing system.
• Assist with IT projects and BAU activities, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Maintain documentation and asset records.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support or Service Desk role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop environments and Microsoft desktop applications.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage incidents using a ticketing system.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
