Developed Markets Financial Institutions Credit Officer

About the role

The Financial Institutions Credit Officer will manage Deutsche Bank’s counter‑party credit risk for North American and European financial institutions. Reporting to the Global Head of FI Credit in New York, you will own a diversified portfolio, approve transactions and continuously monitor credit quality.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial credit due‑diligence for new clients to assess credit profile and business activity.
• Prepare credit reports and supporting documentation in line with bank policies.
• Evaluate sector‑specific credit quality and contribute to portfolio strategy discussions.
• Lead legal documentation, ensuring appropriate covenants and ATEs are embedded in ISDA, GMRA or MSLA agreements.
• Review daily transaction approvals from sales teams and analyse bespoke structured transactions.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience managing credit risk for financial institutions.
• Strong product knowledge of derivatives, securities financing and traditional lending.
• Understanding of master trading documentation (ISDA, GMRA, MSLA).
• Confident decision‑maker able to articulate credit rationale.
