About the role
The Developer Obligations Officer provides operational and analytical support to the Developer Obligations Team Leader, ensuring that developer contributions and Section 75 Agreements are accurately assessed, coordinated and monitored in line with planning policy and community needs.
Key responsibilities
- Support the assessment, coordination and monitoring of developer contributions and Section 75 Agreements.
- Liaise with internal services, external stakeholders and developers to calculate, track and deliver obligations.
- Analyse data and produce clear reports on obligations performance.
- Assist with workload and financial planning for the developer obligations portfolio.
- Utilise ICT systems to manage information and support decision‑making.
Required profile
- Minimum degree (or equivalent) in Town Planning, Law or a related built‑environment discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge of town planning principles.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RTPI or RICS) is desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation and conflict‑management abilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with peers and external partners.
- Experience in data analysis, report writing and financial planning.
