Development Lead – AI‑Enabled Software Development (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading London‑based insurance broker that is investing heavily in technology to stay ahead in a fast‑moving market. As a Development Lead you will combine hands‑on coding with technical leadership, driving AI‑enabled software development across a multi‑cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers while remaining actively involved in coding.
• Define and implement the technical vision, architecture and roadmap for AI‑powered development.
• Promote adoption of prompt engineering, AI copilots and automation tooling.
• Work across Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce and MuleSoft integration projects.
• Ensure engineering excellence, best practices and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions.
• Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies to keep the business at the forefront of innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Developer or Tech Lead ready to step into a leadership role.
• Strong hands‑on background across multiple technologies and platforms.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration platforms such as Salesforce or MuleSoft.
• Passion for emerging AI technologies, including prompt engineering and AI‑assisted development tools.
