Development Manager - Digital Platform & API

About the role

We are looking for an agile digital delivery specialist to lead the modernization of our core technology layer. As Development Manager – Digital Platform & API you will act as Product Owner for a suite of digital applications and integration capabilities, guiding outsourced development and ensuring scalable, secure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap, backlog and feature prioritisation for the API integration layer and around 20 application platforms.
• Direct external software providers and internal solution architects to translate business requirements into high‑performing platform capabilities.
• Champion Agile ways of working, facilitating ceremonies and balancing BAU improvements with strategic projects.
• Engage with stakeholders across marketing, operations and executive management to align platform outcomes with commercial goals.
• Collaborate with information security, compliance and architecture boards to meet ISO27001, GDPR and enterprise risk standards.
• Oversee team performance with potential to expand line‑management or matrix leadership as the platform footprint grows.

Required profile

• Proven experience applying Agile frameworks to manage digital product backlogs and platform lifecycles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external software vendors and technical architects.
• Background in integration, API design and modern platform delivery, preferably within FinTech or related sectors.
