Development Officer – Maternity Cover

About the role

Creative Support Ltd is seeking a motivated Development Officer to provide maternity cover for its Regional Development Team. The role is based in Stockton‑on‑Tees and involves planning and delivering social activities for adults with learning disabilities across the North East.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑ordinate two large weekly evening discos in Middlesbrough and Stockton (Tuesday and Thursday, 6 pm‑9.30 pm).
• Support the set‑up of an additional disco in Darlington (Wednesday evenings).
• Lead a small team of staff and helpers to ensure smooth event delivery.
• Identify and develop new partnership opportunities to expand the disco programme.
• Plan, organise and deliver social activities across County Durham, South & North Tyneside, Gateshead and Newcastle.
• Maintain accurate records and manage resources for all regional activities.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Ability to work independently and flexibly with multiple stakeholders.
• Enthusiasm for creating meaningful opportunities for people with support needs.
• Clean, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
