Development Solutions Lead (Hands-Off, .Net)

About the role

This pivotal position sits directly alongside the Head of IT, taking ownership of the development strategy and roadmap while actively building and coding solutions. The role blends .Net development, solutions architecture, business analysis and leadership, offering full responsibility across the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the development strategy and roadmap.
• Shape technology delivery across the organisation and contribute hands‑on .Net code.
• Maintain full ownership of the SDLC, ensuring best‑practice standards, governance and delivery.
• Collaborate with technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
• Modernise the technology landscape, influencing platform choices and supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Strong background in C# .NET/.NET Core development.
• Experience designing APIs and working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Proficiency in implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid grounding in SQL/MySQL and Crystal Reports.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to influence technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience modernising internal business systems in a professional services environment is highly desirable.
