DevOps Engineer – AWS & CI/CD Specialist

About the role

We are partnering with a data‑driven technology company in central London that is hiring its first dedicated DevOps Engineer. You will own the design, reliability, security and scalability of the AWS platform while working hand‑in‑hand with software engineers to modernise infrastructure and deployment workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM).
• Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline.
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Support and optimise PostgreSQL and related data storage services.
• Monitor and optimise AWS cost and usage.
• Embed security and GDPR‑aligned best practices into the platform.
• Collaborate with engineers to enhance deployment, observability and reliability.
• Explore and adopt AI‑powered tools to improve DevOps workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform or SRE role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services.
• Proven ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Experience with Docker and containerisation.
• Effective communicator who enjoys close collaboration with developers.
• Bonus: experience with monitoring/logging tools, Python or Bash scripting, and regulated (GDPR) environments.
