DevOps Engineer – AWS & Terraform

About the role

Join Global Payments' CI/CD Platform Team as a DevOps Engineer and help shape the future of global commerce. You will own the design, automation, and operation of cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines that power one of the world’s largest payment networks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and IaC best practices.
• Design, build, and operate containerised platforms with Docker and Amazon EKS.
• Develop and manage CI/CD tooling, including GitHub Enterprise Runners, CloudBees Jenkins and Harness.
• Administer GitHub Enterprise Cloud, ensuring scalability, security and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and enablement to development teams using the central CI/CD platform.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for GitHub and GitHub Copilot, promoting AI‑assisted development practices.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, sprint retrospectives and technical demos.
• Contribute to project planning, documentation and stakeholder presentations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Platform, DevOps or Cloud Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience administering GitHub Enterprise at scale.
• Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven ability to design, operate or support CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for both technical and business audiences.
