DevOps Engineer – Build & Automate Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

This remote‑first position is for a DevOps Engineer based in the United Kingdom. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and developer experience, helping globally distributed teams deliver reliable products faster.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal services and tools using Go to support deployment automation.
• Build, maintain and optimise scalable CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD.
• Manage and improve Kubernetes‑based production and pre‑production environments.
• Develop and evolve internal deployment platforms and engineering workflows.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code solutions with Terraform and Ansible.
• Enhance monitoring, logging and alerting using Grafana, OpenSearch and related observability tools.
• Automate operational tasks to reduce manual work and increase delivery speed.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and software delivery processes.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or a similar infrastructure‑focused role.
• Strong Go (Golang) development experience building production services or tools.
• Hands‑on experience managing Kubernetes environments in production.
• Proven knowledge of CI/CD practices, preferably with GitLab CI/CD.
• Solid Linux administration skills and experience with production systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed, remote‑first environment.
