DevOps Engineer – Cloud Observability Platform

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑moving team building a large‑scale observability platform. You will work with cloud technologies, infrastructure‑as‑code and distributed systems to ensure reliable monitoring and alerting for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain a high‑performance AWS‑based observability and monitoring platform.
• Create automation and engineering tooling using Python.
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot containerised workloads on Kubernetes clusters.
• Build Grafana dashboards, set up alerts and perform performance analysis.
• Deliver Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and manage source code via GitHub.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and supporting large‑scale AWS observability solutions.
• Strong Python development background with a focus on automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, management, troubleshooting).
• Experience using Grafana for monitoring and dashboard creation.
• Solid knowledge of GitHub workflows and Terraform for IaC.

What we offer

• Day rate £400‑£450 inside IR35.
• Hybrid working – 1 day onsite in Leeds.
• 6‑month initial contract with potential extension.
