DevOps Engineer – Developer Experience

About the role

The DevOps Engineer (Developer Experience) will help accelerate delivery speed at Trayport by building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling. Working within the Joule Direct team, you will support an engineering organisation of over 100 people and ensure continuous deployments across our energy‑trading platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, development and test environments, and supporting tools.
• Ensure pipelines are efficient, secure, and scale with company growth.
• Collaborate with InfoSec and the central developer experience team to embed security and usability.
• Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and feedback loops for developers.
• Support release processes and drive tooling migrations.
• Monitor observability platforms such as Prometheus and Grafana.

Required skills

• Linux administration.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Cloud platforms – AWS (preferred), Azure, GCP.
• Kubernetes and Helm (experience with EKS).
• Scripting in PowerShell and/or Bash.
• CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Observability tooling – Prometheus, Grafana.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language.
