DevOps Engineer – Financial Services (Hybrid)

About the role

Join the Financial Services Business Unit within C&CA as a DevOps Engineer, helping clients build resilient, scalable, and future‑ready technology platforms. You will act as a trusted advisor, leading the adoption of modern delivery practices and driving automation at scale across complex, data‑intensive environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the DevOps strategy and roadmap aligned with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead adoption of modern engineering and delivery practices to improve quality, consistency, and speed.
• Build, mentor and develop high‑performing, inclusive teams.
• Partner with engineering, product, security and operations stakeholders to drive measurable improvements across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Establish governance frameworks, standards and operating models for scalable delivery.
• Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
• Champion observability, service resilience and proactive incident management for highly available production environments.
• Embed security, risk management and compliance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Promote AI‑enabled capabilities and emerging practices for a future‑ready workforce.
• Continuously assess and improve delivery performance using data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading DevOps capabilities within large‑scale, complex, data‑intensive programmes.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑based data processing architectures and enterprise delivery environments.
• Demonstrated ability to define and implement DevOps operating models, governance standards and engineering best practices.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and managing senior stakeholder expectations.
• Knowledge of application delivery, deployment, integration and operational support concepts.
• Ability to plan, estimate, prioritise and deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously.
