DevOps Engineer – FinTech – £125k + Bonus

About the role

A rapidly scaling exchange and trading technology firm is looking for a highly capable Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join its infrastructure and platform engineering team in London. You will modernise and automate infrastructure across AWS, GCP and on‑prem Linux environments while influencing tooling, platform architecture, CI/CD, observability and automation strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage multi‑account cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Drive automation across cloud and on‑prem platforms with Ansible, Python and Bash.
• Support Linux engineering, deployment pipelines and large‑scale systems operations.
• Collaborate with development teams to productionise applications and services.
• Manage and improve CI/CD tooling and deployment workflows.
• Support containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to infrastructure reliability, scalability and capacity planning.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and operational standards.

Required profile

• Strong DevOps and infrastructure background, preferably in high‑availability or low‑latency environments.
• Experience designing and operating hybrid cloud environments across AWS and GCP.
• Advanced automation experience and solid Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration skills.
• Hands‑on expertise with Terraform, Ansible, Python and Bash.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling, Git‑based workflows and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/ECR or similar container platforms.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation best practices and exposure to databases such as MySQL or Elasticsearch.
