DevOps Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team in Bristol. You will own the cloud infrastructure behind an innovative SaaS platform, ensuring it is secure, scalable, reliable and cost‑effective while enabling rapid software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, performance and cost efficiency.
• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployments and enhance the developer experience.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and implement long‑term reliability improvements.
• Promote infrastructure security best practices, including IAM, secrets management and network security.
• Support and maintain development, testing and production environments.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, backup and business continuity planning.
• Evaluate and introduce new DevOps tools and technologies where beneficial.
• Utilise AI‑assisted engineering tools to boost automation, productivity and delivery speed.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud governance.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Proven ability to build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (ECS).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana and Prometheus.
• Solid understanding of security best practices, IAM and secrets management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools.
