DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer in the IP Development team, you will drive fast, reliable delivery of multiple products by building and operating an Azure‑based platform and CI/CD toolchain. You will work closely with engineering, product and quality teams to automate the path from commit to production, embed observability and security, and provide self‑service infrastructure for containers, serverless, AI/analytics and data services.

Key responsibilities

• Own CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps) including build, test, security scans, release, blue/green/canary deployments and rollback.
• Design, implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep) for AKS, ACR, App Service, Functions, VNets, APIM, Front Door, Key Vault, data and messaging services.
• Embed observability (logs, metrics, traces, SLOs, error budgets) and maintain actionable alerts, runbooks and dashboards.
• Champion security‑by‑default through IAM/RBAC, secrets management, policy‑as‑code, dependency and image scanning, and certificate hygiene.
• Ensure environment parity across DEV, TEST, STAGING and PROD, manage config/feature flags and safe DB migration practices.
• Drive performance and cost efficiency via capacity planning, k6 performance testing, caching and FinOps tagging/monitoring.
• Partner with Scrum Masters, BAs and QA to define release readiness, quality gates and support incident post‑mortems.
• Create “golden paths” – templates, scripts and documentation – to improve developer experience and self‑service.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Azure services (AKS, ACR, App Service, Functions, VNets, APIM, Front Door, Storage, Key Vault, Monitor/Log Analytics).
• Hands‑on experience with containers, Docker, HPA, PDBs and rollout strategies.
• Proficiency in IaC using Terraform and/or Bicep, including module development and policy checks.
• Solid background in CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and integrating testing and security scans.
• Experience building observability solutions with Azure Monitor, Application Insights and OpenTelemetry.
• Security mindset: least‑privilege, RBAC, OIDC, vulnerability management and policy‑as‑code.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, data and messaging services, and Linux scripting.
• Collaborative, documentation‑focused and comfortable with on‑call/incident response.
