DevOps Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead and grow a dedicated DevOps function within a technology‑driven organisation. You will remain hands‑on technically while guiding a small team and shaping the future of our Azure cloud platform, automation, and platform engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of DevOps Engineers.
• Own the Microsoft Azure platform across IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Drive improvements to cloud infrastructure, automation and operational resilience.
• Design, build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Bicep or similar tools.
• Collaborate with Development, Security and Infrastructure teams to improve delivery and platform reliability.
• Manage Azure governance, identity management and security best practices.
• Monitor platform performance and drive continuous improvements.
• Oversee change management and operational processes.
• Maintain relationships with third‑party technology partners and suppliers.

Required profile

• Commercial experience leading DevOps or Infrastructure teams.
• Strong background in Microsoft Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep or other IaC technologies.
• Experience scripting with PowerShell or similar automation tools.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, compute and storage services.
• Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD), PIM, IAM and identity management.
• Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker or other container platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments is a plus.
