DevOps Specialist – London

About the role

We are looking for a senior DevOps Specialist to join HSBC’s Fixed Income Cash trading team in London. You will act as the technical and functional subject‑matter expert for Bloomberg TOMS and related order‑management workflows, supporting front‑office traders and partner teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support, development and production stability for Bloomberg TOMS and associated trading applications.
• Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling and automation to increase delivery throughput and operational resilience.
• Participate in platform improvement initiatives such as performance tuning, monitoring, alerting and operational readiness.
• Gather requirements, create user stories and work with product owners, business analysts and technical leads to deliver high‑quality enhancements.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and approved GenAI tools to accelerate code quality, test generation, incident analysis and knowledge‑base creation while ensuring data confidentiality.

Required profile

• Significant experience in banking or financial‑services technology, especially front‑office trading systems.
• Deep knowledge of Fixed Income cash products (bonds, futures, IRS) and the trade lifecycle.
• Proven ability to act as a senior individual contributor and SME for complex trading applications.
• Strong understanding of security and data‑handling requirements in a regulated environment.
