Diagnostic Imaging Manager

About the role

This senior leadership position oversees Diagnostic Imaging Services across three hospitals in Lancashire (Fulwood Hall, Euxton Hall and Buckshaw). Reporting to the Head of Clinical Operations, you will be responsible for the clinical, operational and commercial performance of all imaging modalities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational management of radiology, ultrasound, mammography, MRI and CT services across three sites.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient‑centred imaging delivery and compliance with radiation protection and IR(ME)R standards.
• Lead governance, quality assurance, PACS and RIS administration, and CQC readiness initiatives.
• Drive service transformation, business growth, and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee workforce planning, development, and financial performance of the imaging department.

Required profile

• Experienced senior radiography professional with a track record of leading high‑performing teams.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, service transformation and quality improvement.
• Ability to manage multi‑site operations and influence strategic direction.
