Diagnostic Imaging Manager – Multi‑Site (3 hospitals)

About the role

This senior leadership position oversees Diagnostic Imaging Services across three hospitals in Lancashire. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Operations, you will ensure safe, efficient, and patient‑centred imaging care while driving innovation and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operational management of radiology, ultrasound, mammography, MRI, CT and related services across three sites.
• Ensure compliance with imaging governance, quality assurance, radiation protection and IR(ME)R standards.
• Oversee PACS and RIS administration and maintain high‑quality imaging data flow.
• Develop workforce plans, mentor staff and build high‑performing teams.
• Manage financial and commercial performance, including budgeting and service transformation initiatives.
• Prepare for CQC inspections and drive continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Experienced senior radiography or imaging leader with a proven track record in multi‑site service delivery.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, clinical governance and quality improvement.
• Ability to influence strategic direction and lead change across a complex healthcare system.
