Digital Forensic Investigator – Fixed‑Term (Part‑Time)

About the role

Reed is looking for a skilled Digital Forensic Investigator to join a specialist investigations team in Twickenham. This part‑time, 1‑year fixed‑term position involves conducting forensic examinations of digital devices, producing evidential reports, and supporting investigations from seizure through to court proceedings.

Key responsibilities

• Capture, preserve, analyse and report digital evidence in line with legislation, NPCC guidance and industry best practice.
• Recover and maintain evidential continuity of digital exhibits to criminal evidential standards.
• Produce clear, accurate and defensible forensic reports for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Attend searches, support investigative activity and liaise with law enforcement and partner organisations.
• Develop forensic strategies, present evidence in court and generate intelligence reports.
• Research emerging technologies and support ISO‑17025 accreditation activities.

Required profile

• Experience conducting digital forensic examinations in law enforcement, government, military or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of forensic acquisition, analysis and reporting processes.
• Ability to handle exhibits while maintaining evidential continuity.
• Proven capability to translate technical findings into clear reports.
• Experience presenting evidence in court or supporting criminal investigations.
